Clarkston Area Youth Assistance

Clarkton Area Youth Assistance (CAYA) is a non-profit organization.  There are Youth Assistance organizations in most school districts in Oakland County.  We are tri-sponsored by the township & city, the school district, and the family court.  We work with other community organizations and have several different programs to support our mission which is basically to help strengthen family and empower youth.  We are very unique because we have a caseworker and we received referrals from the police and school for both prevention and deferment of youth who have made poor choices.  Some of our programs include a homework club situation at Bridge Lake Apartments, Youth Recognition, Family Education, skill building scholarships, camp scholarships, pinwheels for prevention, and mentoring.  We are volunteer based and make an enormous impact on families in the community.  I would love to set up a presentation during a Rotary meeting.
