What a great evening!  Our public meeting on opiod abuse held at the Clarkston Independence Library was well attended and proved to be worth the time spent.  We had 39 people in attendance, 13 of whom were Clarkston Rotarians.  We also had some Ortonville Rotarians attend.  Our speaker, Rony Foumia, did an excellent job of explaining how the problem has become so serious over the years and what needs to happen to start to turn the awful statistics around.  The consensus of Rotarians seemed to be that we should consider doing more public interest meetings, maybe quarterly if we have interesting and timely topics.  Something for discussion, certainly.
