Shoes for Kids

The Cause

Over the past twenty-four years "Shoes for Kids" has provided for over 10,500 Clarkston children and the community has generously donated over $300,000. The Rotary Club of Clarkston greatly appreciatives the support shown by the volunteers such as yourself, both in commitment and donations.

HELP MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN A CLARKSTON CHILD'S LIFE.

The Event

The Rotary Club of Clarkston's annual "Shoes for Kids" program will provide Clarkston Community School children with new shoes, winter boots, hats and gloves.

This event is a one day event held in late fall each year, at Renaissance High School on Waldon Rd.

While the main event is one day, we have volunteer opportunities the day prior for setup and inventory as well as newspaper sales that help fund the purchase of our shoes and boots.

Our volunteer time slots are typically in 2 hour increments throughout the day of the event. There are various assignments including chair positions, shoe fitting, check-in, etc. This is also a great opportunity for high school students or others needing Community Service Volunteer Hours.

Newspaper Sales

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED TO HELP SELL ROTARY NEWSPAPERS EACH FALL!!

The Rotary Club of Clarkston holds its annual newspaper sales in early November and continues throughout the month, into December. The sales are held on the street in downtown as well as some local community events such as the Christmas Market and craft show.

The donations received from the newspaper sales fund the Rotary Club of Clarkston's "Shoes for Kids" program as well as some of our other programs like Dolly Parton Imagination Library.

We will release the signup as soon is it is available each fall and hope to see you all there!
