For the past 81 years the Rotary Club of Clarkston has proudly sold a published newspaper for donations on the streets of Clarkston. The first 38 years were primarily focused on providing Clarkston families with Holiday food baskets, Christmas gifts and funds for medical issues, heating and lights. During the past 43 years our club's "Shoes for Kids" program has focused on providing new shoes, winter boots, hats and gloves to Clarkston school children.
Over the past 23 years over 11,000 children have participated in the program, thousands of volunteers have committed their time and the Clarkston community has generously donated over $300,000 to help make "Shoes for Kids" a reality for Clarkston school children. The Clarkston Rotary would like to sincerely thank everyone involved for their trust and dedication.
